A Circus Of Dancers And Dummies

Where Berlin - - ENTERTAINMENT -

When we think of nouveau cirque, we think of that blend of storytelling, acrobatics, and street performance often associated with French-speaking countries – think Cirque du Soleil. Well, take all of that and add interactive video art, urban sound design, robotic dummies, and Berlin’s urban and futuristic spaces, and you get Dummy Lab, the first work by director Eiko von Stuckenberg. Premiering on 19 March at the Chamäleon theater in the Hackesche Höfe, the show will continue for the rest of the season, bringing dance and technology together in a highly entertaining performance of what the director has defined as “Berlin Neuer Circus.” www.chamaeleonberlin.com
