One of key mar­ket halls over 100 years ago, Marheineke Mark­thalle con­tin­ues to be a culi­nary high­light to­day. Meats, cheese, deli items, baked goods, fruit and veg­eta­bles, juices, and flow­ers – ev­ery­thing is of ex­quis­ite qual­ity and much of it pro­duced or­gan­i­cally and re­gion­ally. Built in 1891 and one of only three his­toric mar­ket halls re­main­ing in Ber­lin, Mark­thalle IX has un­der­gone a re­vival in re­cent years, now host­ing a farm­ers’ mar­ket ev­ery Fri­day and Satur­day from 10am to 6pm.
