Strawberry Fields Forever

Where Berlin - - DINING -

Summertime in Berlin is smothered in sweet strawberries. It’s the perfect time to head to the farmers’ markets and pick up a punnet or two for a picnic in the sun, or better yet, take the children directly to the fields and let them pick their own, popping the brightest and plumpest berries straight into their mouth. One such heavenly place is Vierfelderhof, which also has animals and a playground. But if you don't feel like traveling far, worry not: there are strawberry stands scattered all over town to keep you well berried. You can't miss them: they are shaped as giant strawberries with wheels and are often found just outside U- Bahn stations. Gross- Glienicker Weg 30, Gatow.
