This direc­tory, grouped by cat­e­gory, is a com­pen­dium of es­tab­lish­ments rec­om­mended by the ed­i­tors of Where Mag­a­zine and in­cludes reg­u­lar ad­ver­tis­ers. OPEN­ING HOURS Open­ing hours may vary, so it’s best to call ahead. Shops are open Mon–Sat only, and Sun­day shop­ping is only pos­si­ble on cer­tain Sun­days of the year. Gro­ceries can be bought on Sun­days at ma­jor train sta­tions (Haupt­bahn­hof, Friedrich­straße, at Ullrich at Zool­o­gis­cher Garten, or Ost­bahn­hof). In­spired by the love be­tween Queen Vic­to­ria and her Ger­man hus­band Prince Al­bert, con­cept store Vic­to­ria met Al­bert in Pren­zlauer Berg stocks a charm­ing se­lec­tion of cloth­ing, ac­ces­sories, gifts, and de­sign ob­jects for both him and her. From golden-wire bas­kets by LIV and an­i­mal mugs de­signed by Jane Foster to the "Dap­per Chap" hip flask and hats from tal­ented milliner Becky Jane, the store lives up to its motto, “for the woman who has ev­ery­thing and the man who needs noth­ing.”

Ga­le­ria Kaufhof

Ga­leries Lafayette

The Berlin branch of the ex­clu­sive Parisian depart­ment store is de­vel­oped around an ex­tra­or­di­nary glass cone. The three cir­cu­lar floors rise up around this cen­ter­piece, packed with per­fumes, cloth­ing, and ac­ces­sories. Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe)

Mall of Berlin

Pots­damer Platz Arkaden

This large shop­ping cen­ter of­fers more than 120 shops over three floors, stock­ing ev­ery­thing from clothes and ac­ces­sories to elec­tron­ics and gro­ceries.
