Sunny Days Ahead

Where Berlin - - CONTENTS -

May in Berlin is a great month. The summer is around the corner, and you can feel it in the air. Every spring, the warm air awakens my desire to spend my Sundays browsing the stands of the city's flea markets and to bring home useless objects I simply cannot do without. Like that floral frieze that must have been part of an old closet, and which went straight from a stand at the Arkonaplatz market to my kitchen wall. Or a cursive, lowercase letter "b" with a light bulb in it, which was once part of a shop sign and is now wrapped up and ready to be sent to my friend as a present. But this is also a great month to do some sports while enjoying the city's greenery. Turn to p. 10 for tips on how to get fit and toned after the winter, including a list of the city's healthiest restaurants and juice bars. Or read p. 52 for a list of the best live concerts this month, from Iggy Pop to PiL, Adele and Rod Stewart.
