Grand Rocka

In­ter­na­tional. In­side, the res­tau­rant takes over the his­toric arched space un­der S Hack­escher Markt sta­tion, fea­tur­ing a grand old wooden bar that lives up to the res­tau­rant's name, and out front, the ter­race spills out across the busy Platz. The Grand

Ger­man. The so­phis­ti­cated sup­per club, with ori­gins reach­ing back to 1842, boasts an Amer­i­can grill that makes its in­ter­na­tional ar­ray of steaks among the best in town. The up­stairs lounge (and, in par­tic­u­lar, its cock­tails) at­tracts a deca­dent late-night scene.

Israeli. Creamy, rich, and fluffy hum­mus with warm pita bread might just be Is­rael's na­tional dish, and with the open­ing of Hum­mus & Friends, it's easy to get in the Ger­man cap­i­tal too. Chi­nese. Just across the wa­ter from Mu­seum Is­land, Jolly’s lo­ca­tion couldn’t be bet­ter for a tasty Chi­nese meal in be­tween sight­see­ing stops. Bring an ap­petite to try as many of the steamed dim sum dumplings as pos­si­ble be­fore mov­ing on to the menu’s ex­ten­sive va­ri­ety of Sichuan-style and Can­tonese dishes.
