Nobody knows the city better than your expert concierges. When we asked them what they show their visitors, here is what they recommended. www.lcdg.org
What our expert Berlin concierges show off to their personal guests.
Sandra Bösemüller, Regent Berlin
I take my guests to the Reichstag dome, so they can see Berlin from above, followed by the Turkish market at Maybachufer. At the end of the day, I usually take them to my local restaurant, Nobelhart & Schmutzig.
Torsten Kaminski, Ritz-Carlton Berlin
Apart from the classic sights in Mitte, I take them to Kreuzberg, to the Oberbaumbrücke, to Oranienstraße and the Paul- Lincke- Ufer, and then for a drive through green Berlin, visiting places such as Schlachtensee lake, Peacock Island, or Potsdam.
Sam Ndiaye, Sofitel Berlin Kurfürstendamm
I want to give them a glimpse of the various facets of the city. This can be achieved via the hop- on, hop- off buses and, in good weather, with a boat trip along the Spree River or a "seven-lakes cruise" on the Wannsee.
Hatem Ferjani, Berlin Marriott Hotel
I recommend visiting the Gardens of the World in Marzahn: It makes for a great day out for young and old. I also like taking my guests on a boat ride through the government quarter, followed by a sunset dinner at the top of the TV tower with a great view over Berlin. Lutz Schneider, Westin Grand Berlin To the Reichstag, Berlin Wall Memorial, Galeries Lafayette, Scheunenviertel around Hackescher Markt, and Nikolaiviertel.
Swen Roessler, Grand Hyatt Berlin
Definitely Checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin Wall, and also Museum Island, Hackescher Markt, Karl-Marx-Allee, and the Gardens of the World.
Gerhard Buskies, Hilton Berlin
Brandenburg Gate and Museum Island are a must, but I also take them to explore my local district of Friedrichshain, with a pub crawl along Simon- Dach-Straße, a visit to the weekly market on Boxhagenerplatz, a walk in the trendy area of Revaler Straße, and a canoe trip around the Stralau Peninsula.
Carina Gerber, Ritz-Carlton Berlin
I like to take my guests on a 6am walk on Marschallbrücke bridge, to see the beautiful view of the Bundestag and the Spree River.
