The prosecutor responsible for soccer-related matters ruled yesterday that an alleged corruption scandal centering around Olympiakos Volou chairman Achilleas Beos cannot be investigated because his accusers were too slow in making their allegations. Prosecutor Andreas Fakos, who operates under the auspices of the Hellenic Football Federation, said complaints that Beos attempted to influence referees were not lodged within a month of the alleged offenses taking place, as soccer’s disciplinary rules demand. As a result, Fakos will not investigate the matter any further.
