All branches of Marfin Eg­na­tia Bank will be closed to­mor­row as em­ploy­ees mark the first an­niver­sary of the death of three fel­low work­ers at a branch on Sta­diou Street in cen­tral Athens which was fire­bombed dur­ing an anti-aus­ter­ity rally. Paraskevi Zou­lia, 35, Epaminon­das Tsakalis, 36, and 32-year-old An­ge­liki Pa­p­athana­sopoulou, who was four months preg­nant, died of as­phyx­i­a­tion af­ter as­sailants smashed the bank’s win­dows and threw Molo­tov cock­tails in­side. Four peo­ple ques­tioned over the week­end in con­nec­tion to the fire­bomb­ing have been given un­til Fri­day to make their de­po­si­tions.
