Van­dals dam­age rail­way line

The rail­way line be­tween Larissa and Thes­sa­loniki re­mained closed for a sec­ond day yes­ter­day due to van­dal­ism. The Hel­lenic Rail­ways Or­ga­ni­za­tion (OSE) said that it was con­cerned by the dam­age that has been caused to elec­tric­ity ca­bles be­cause there were in­di­ca­tions that the van­dals had not acted ran­domly but knew what dam­age they would be caus­ing. OSE said that it is among the worst dam­age the com­pany has ever seen. Se­cu­rity per­son­nel have been or­dered to pa­trol the stretch of track in ques­tion.
