The country’s financial uncertainty was again reflected on the local bourse yesterday as it resumed its southbound course. The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended at 1,355.30 points, declining by 2.38 percent from Wednesday’s close. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index shrank by 2.48 percent to end at 605.44 points. Turnover came to 71 million euros. OPAP was the only blue chip to post gains (up 0.69 percent), while Piraeus Bank was the worst off, declining by 4.85 percent.
