> Athens > To May 29 The 34th Athens Book Fair is cur­rently un­der way at Zappeion Hall and runs to Sun­day, May 29. Or­ga­nized by the As­so­ci­a­tion of Book Pub­lish­ers of Athens in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the City of Athens Cul­tural Or­ga­ni­za­tion, the fair’s motto this sea­son is “A book is a great com­pany and a pow­er­ful source of knowl­edge.” The event hosts edi­tions from 110 pub­lish­ing com­pa­nies while par­al­lel events in­clude trib­utes to poet Odysseas Elytis and nov­el­ist Alexan­dros Pa­pa­dia­man­tis, as well as plays for chil­dren, book pre­sen­ta­tions and con­certs. Open­ing hours: week­days from 6 to 10.30 p.m., Satur­day 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and 6 to 10.30 p.m. and Sun­day from 11 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. Zappeion Hall, Syn­tagma Square, Athens
