Greek FM praises Ser­bia for catch­ing war crimes fugi­tive

For­eign Min­is­ter Dim­itris Drout­sas yes­ter­day con­grat­u­lated Ser­bian authorities for ar­rest­ing for­mer Bos­nian mil­i­tary leader Ratko Mladic, who has been on the run since 1995 and is wanted by the United Na­tions war crimes tri­bunal in The Hague. “Greece hails this de­vel­op­ment and con­grat­u­lates the gov­ern­ment of Ser­bia for its de­ter­mi­na­tion and per­se­ver­ance,” Drout­sas said in a state­ment. “This is news that fills with sat­is­fac­tion those who be­lieve and sup­port the need to heal the wounds of his­tory and for jus­tice to be done,” he added.
