Thessaloniki-Istanbul flight relaunched
Officials from Greece and Turkey are seen at Friday’s inauguration ceremony in Thessaloniki, marking the start of a Turkish Airlines flight linking Thessaloniki with Istanbul. Local officials said that they hope the new route will provide Greece’s second largest city with a boost in trade and tourism. Turkish Airlines, which flies internationally to 178 destinations, will fly between the two cities four times a week. The airline had cut the link between the two cities in 2001.
