Workers in the Vale of Tempe,
central Greece, yesterday celebrated the completion of a 6-kilometerlong road tunnel, the largest in the Balkans. The project was finally completed following two years and nine months of intensive work, the company managing the project said. Workers were congratulated by Sergios Labropoulos, general secretary of the Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Ministry.
