Nine sus­pected mem­bers of the Con­spir­acy of the Cells of Fire ur­ban guer­rilla group, which car­ried out a se­ries of blood­less bomb­ings, is­sued a state­ment yes­ter­day in which they called for other groups to carry on their ac­tion. In what es­sen­tially amounted to a fran­chis­ing of­fer, the nine sus­pects who are in cus­tody pro­posed that new “cells” which act in­de­pen­dently and with no knowl­edge of each other take on the ti­tle of “New Con­spir­acy.” The cri­te­ria for us­ing the name, the state­ment said, are that mem­bers of the new groups have to be com­mit­ted to us­ing di­rect ac­tion, crit­i­cize so­ci­ety, com­bat the state and show sol­i­dar­ity with sim­i­lar groups in other coun­tries.
