Three suspected members of the Revolutionary Struggle urban guerrilla group should not remain in custody, a council of appeals court judges ruled yesterday. The judges upheld a court decision from April, which ruled that the suspects, Christoforos Kortesis, Sarantos Nikitopoulos and Evangelos Stathopoulos, should be bailed. They have been barred from leaving the country. Three other suspected members of the group, Nikos Maziotis, Panayiota Roupa and Costas Gournas, remain in custody pending trial. The group has been linked to a series of bomb blasts and a rocket-propelled grenade attack on the US Embassy in Athens.
