> Athens > June 19 The Quatuor Danel en­sem­ble is sched­uled to ap­pear at the Acrop­o­lis Mu­seum on Wed­nes­day, June 19. The noted French string quar­tet will in­ter­pret works by Knaifel, Raska­tov, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky at the mu­seum’s atrium, start­ing at 9.30 p.m., in an event mark­ing 150 years since the birth of Greek poet C.P. Cavafy. Also par­tic­i­pat­ing will be so­prano Elena Vas­silieva, while ac­tor-di­rec­tor Dim­itris Lig­nadis will read works by Cavafy. Ad­mis­sion is free with pri­or­ity coupons.
