> Athens > To March 30 In celebration of the 150th an­niver­sary of C.P. Cavafy’s birth, the Mu­seum of Cy­cladic Art is cur­rently host­ing an ex­hi­bi­tion of works il­lus­trat­ing the Alexan­drine poet’s work. Or­ga­nized in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Cavafy Ar­chive, the Onas­sis Foun­da­tion and the Min­istry of Cul­ture, “Fig­ures” fo­cuses on the per­son­al­i­ties who play a prom­i­nent role in Cavafy’s poetry – among them Hel­lenis­tic kings, Ro­man em­per­ors and Byzan­tine rulers – us­ing 67 ar­chae­o­log­i­cal ar­ti­facts to il­lus­trate 27 se­lected po­ems. The mu­seum will or­ga­nize ed­u­ca­tional pro­grams for schools, guided tours and lec­tures for the pub­lic. Ad­mis­sion ranges from 3.50 to 7 eu­ros. Gallery hours are Mon­days, Wed­nes­days, Fri­days and Satur­days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thurs­days from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sun­days from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more in­for­ma­tion, go to www.cy­cladic.gr.
