> Athens > Jan­uary 12 Be­fore head­ing off for a per­for­mance at the cel­e­brated Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brus­sels to mark Greece’s as­sump­tion of the Euro­pean Union’s ro­tat­ing pres­i­dency, the Ar­mo­nia Ate­nea en­sem­ble will per­form the same pro­gram at the Athens Con­cert Hall on Sun­day, Jan­uary 12. Led by Ge­orge Petrou, the orches­tra will in­ter­pret Baroque works in­spired by an­tiq­uity, in­clud­ing ex­cerpts from Han­del’s “Alessando” and “Ari­anna in Creta,” and Bach’s “Temis­to­cle.” The soloists are so­prano Myrsini Mar­gar­iti and mez­zos Irini Kara­ianni and Mary-Ellen Nesi.
