Businessman gets abductor to release him
Businessman Manolis Karamolegos, 60, was safe yesterday following his abduction on Tuesday night after convincing one of his kidnappers to free him.
The bakery firm owner visited the police precinct in Keratea, southeastern Attica, with one of his abductors, a Moldovan, less than 24 hours after being stopped near his home in Gerakas, eastern Attica, by four men on motorcycles. The abductors wanted 2 million euros, sources said. But Karamolegos convinced one to turn himself in by saying police would trace his cell phone. A second kidnapper, an Albanian, was found later. The other two were at large last night.
