> Athens > Jan­uary 20 The Hel­lenic Amer­i­can Union in Athens is or­ga­niz­ing a pre­sen­ta­tion of Jorgo Chatz­i­markakis’s book “Paragon El­las” (“Greek Fac­tor,” pub­lished in Greek by Patakis Edi­tions) at its premises on Mon­day, Jan­uary 20. In the book, Chatz­i­markakis ar­gues that Greece is not the only coun­try re­spon­si­ble for the Euro­pean cri­sis and that those who speak of “bank­rupt Greeks” are not aware of the coun­try’s his­tory and op­por­tu­ni­ties. Born in Ger­many in 1966, Chatz­i­markakis is a Ger­man politi­cian of Greek de­scent who is a Euro­pean Par­lia­ment deputy with the Free Demo­cratic Party of Ger­many. Starts at 7 p.m. and ad­mis­sion is free of charge. Three hun­dred free copies will be given to mem­bers of the au­di­ence on a first-come, first-served ba­sis.
