In­ter­pol af­ter TT sus­pects

A global hunt is un­der way for Greek busi­ness­man Kyr­i­akos Griveas and his wife Anas­ta­sia Vat­sika af­ter In­ter­pol is­sued an in­ter­na­tional “red no­tice” for their ar­rest in con­nec­tion with the Hel­lenic Postbank (TT) cor­rup­tion case.

An ar­rest war­rant against the cou­ple, who live in Lon­don, was is­sued by Greek au­thor­i­ties 12 days ago. Sources told Kathimerini that the cou­ple were last seen at a Swiss win­ter re­sort a few days ear­lier.

Griveas and Vat­sika are ac­cused of re­ceiv­ing about 19.8 mil­lion eu­ros in un­se­cured loans from TT. Investigators have frozen the cou­ple’s as­sets and asked ju­di­cial au­thor­i­ties to ac­cess their per­sonal and cor­po­rate ac­counts.
