> Athens & Thes­sa­loniki > Jan­uary 27 One of the most fa­mous Ro­man­tic bal­lets, “Giselle,” comes to the Athens and Thes­sa­loniki Con­cert Halls via live trans­mis­sion from the Royal Opera House in Lon­don. Re­vived by Mar­ius Petipa in the late 19th cen­tury, “Giselle” tells the story of a be­trayal and a love that tran­scends death. Peter Wright’s pro­duc­tion cap­tures the ro­man­tic at­mos­phere of the 1841 orig­i­nal. Boris Gruzin con­ducts the Orches­tra of the Royal Opera House. The role of Giselle will be played by Natalia Osipova and that of Al­brecht by Car­los Acosta. Ad­mis­sion costs 20 eu­ros for the Athens view­ing and 25 eu­ros in Thes­sa­loniki.
