> Athens > January 27 Marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Monday, January 27, the Embassy of Israel in Athens will present a screening of Janet Tobias’s 2010 docudrama “No Place on Earth” in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada, Anemon Productions, Cool Culture and with the support of the Goethe Institute. The film focuses on Chris Nicola, an American caving enthusiast, who, while exploring some caves in Ukraine, discovers that they had been inhabited by humans. This finding leads to a previously untold World War II story involving a group of Jewish Holocaust survivors who used the caves as shelter. The screening takes place at the French Institute in Athens on Wednesday, January 29, and is part of the CineDoc series. Starts at 8 p.m. and general admission 6 euros.
