Ten caught for Volos drugs
Ten suspected members of a gang thought to have sold around 50,000 euros’ worth of heroin on the streets of Volos, central Greece, were arrested yesterday.
Police said there are two women among those arrested and that an 11th alleged gang member is being sought. The suspects were not named. Officers searched 11 properties as well as several cars, recovering heroin, two shotguns and a flare gun.
It is thought that the gang bought the drugs it sold from somewhere in Attica. The suspects are alleged to have sold around 1 kilo of heroin in Volos. They were all charged with drug trafficking by a prosecutor in the port city.
