Deflation rate picks up in October
Greek consumer prices fell 1.7 percent in October, with the annual pace of deflation accelerating from a 0.8 percent drop in September, data from the country’s statistics service showed yesterday. The Council of State has rejected an injunction request filed by Intralot to prevent the license for exclusive horse race betting rights in Greece from being awarded to OPAP until the case against the choice of preferred bidder is heard. That means the ratification process, which concerns the next 20 years, can continue.
