> Athens > To Fe­bru­ary 8 The Cy­cladic Art Mu­seum in Athens presents “The De­pic­tion of Death in the Work of El Greco,” an ex­hi­bi­tion pay­ing trib­ute to the Cre­tan master who died 400 years ago. The ex­hi­bi­tion’s cen­tral show­piece is El Greco’s “Burial of Christ,” on loan from the Greek Na­tional Gallery. Also on dis­play are two Pi­etas, one be­long­ing to the col­lec­tion of the His­panic So­ci­ety of Amer­ica and another which is part of a pri­vate col­lec­tion.
