> Athens > Novem­ber 19 Aus­tralian-born con­duc­tor Aaron Carpene will be dis­cussing his ex­pe­ri­ences dur­ing the re­cent stag­ing of Han­del’s “Acis and Galatea” in Bhutan’s cap­i­tal Thimphu, at CYA/DIKEMES in Athens on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 19. The opera marked the first time a Western opera was per­formed in the Hi­malayan King­dom of Bhutan. The event is or­ga­nized by the Greece-Bhutan Friend­ship As­so­ci­a­tion and Col­lege Year in Athens and will also fea­ture stage di­rec­tor Ste­fano Vizioli.
