Saudi prince con­firms in­vest­ment in­ter­est

Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal re­it­er­ated his in­ter­est in in­vest­ing in Greece dur­ing a meet­ing with Greek Deputy De­vel­op­ment Min­is­ter No­tis Mi­tarakis and “En­ter­prise Greece” Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Ste­fanos Isa­ias yes­ter­day in Riyadh, ac­cord­ing to re­ports. Mi­tarakis also met with a group of en­trepreneurs and in­vestors at the Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try in Riyadh as well as with the Greek-Saudi Friend­ship par­lia­men­tary com­mit­tee. Po­ten­tial in­vestors from Saudi Ara­bia are in­ter­ested in plac­ing funds in the Greek hous­ing sec­tor, on the pri­vate build­ing mar­ket, or in par­tic­i­pat­ing in groups of for­eign in­vestors mak­ing plans for the ac­qui­si­tion of ma­jor ho­tel com­plexes or other lux­ury hol­i­day ac­com­mo­da­tion and hous­ing com­plexes up for sale. In­ter­est has also been ex­pressed in the do­main of en­ergy and its var­i­ous al­ter­na­tive forms. The sec­tors where Greek en­ter­prises could be ac­tive in Saudi Ara­bia are con­struc­tion, en­ergy and al­ter­na­tive forms of en­ergy, as well as the food do­main.
