The Cy­cladic Art Mu­seum in Athens is host­ing works by six artists short-listed for the DESTE Prize 2015. The prize was es­tab­lished in 1999 and is awarded bi­en­ni­ally to a Greek or Cypriot artist liv­ing in Greece or abroad. The can­di­dates for this year’s com­pe­ti­tion are Maria Hassabi, Pet­ros Moris, Yian­nis Pa­padopou­los, An­gelo Plessas, Socratis Socra­tous and Natali Yi­axi. The win­ner will be se­lected by an in­ter­na­tional jury and an­nounced in an award cer­e­mony sched­uled to take place on Septem­ber 7. The award comes with a 10,000-euro cash prize.
