Some train, Proas­ti­akos ser­vices to be can­celled

Work­ers on Greek trains and on the Proas­ti­akos sub­ur­ban rail­way will be hold­ing work stop­pages to­day that are ex­pected to af­fected sev­eral routes, as well as the Proas­ti­akos line to Athens In­ter­na­tional Air­port. Be­tween 1-3 p.m., there will be no trains be­tween the metro ter­mi­nus of Doukissis Plak­en­tias sta­tion and the air­port, mean­ing that com­muters will have to use buses in­stead and should give them­selves more time for the com­mute. The stop­pages will also af­fect the na­tional rail­way with morn­ing ser­vices be­tween Athens and Thes­sa­loniki be­ing can­celled. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. trains will also not run be­tween Athen­sKalam­baka, Alexan­droupoli-Dikaia, Thes­sa­loniki-Flo­rina, Larissa-Vo­los, Lianok­ladi-Styl­ida, Di­akofto-Kalavryta and Pyr­gos-Olympia.
