Mediter­ranean cul­ture takes cen­ter stage in a new in­ter­na­tional fes­ti­val, “Mediter­ranean Traces,” in Ha­nia, Crete, through Septem­ber 9, with a fo­cus on mu­sic, dance and film events as well pre­sen­ta­tions on the re­gion’s di­etary habits. From Au­gust 18 to 23, Greek films cen­tered around the Mediter­ranean en­vi­ron­ment and mi­gra­tion is­sues will be screened at the Mu­nic­i­pal Gar­den Theater. On Au­gust 18 and 19, Spiro Tar­avi­ras’s 1989 drama “Sunset in Venice” will start at 8.30 p.m., to be fol­lowed at 10 p.m. by Nikos Da­giadas and Nikos Ntag­in­tas’s 2013 doc­u­men­tary “Lit­tle­land.” For more in­for­ma­tion, visit www.keppedih-cam.gr.
