Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, one of Athens’s fiercest critics, advised German MPs yesterday to approve Greece’s third bailout. ‘Of course, after the experience of the last years and months there is no guarantee that everything will work,’ he told the Bundestag, which gave the green light with 454 votes to 113. ‘But since the Greek Parliament has already passed most of the measures, it would be irresponsible to miss the chance for a new start in Greece.’
