PASOK rules out cooperating with Papandreou party
PASOK saidyesterday it will not be cooperating with the Movement of Democratic Socialists (KIDISO) established by former Prime Minister George Papandreou in January.
There had been a discussion between the two parties over the last few days about having candidates run on a joint ticket but PASOK said that the terms set out by Papandreou’s party were unrealistic.
Kathimerini understands KIDISO wanted members of the two parties to decide which candidates should run in the elections. PASOK felt this was unfair to its MPs, who were elected just seven months ago. Top PASOK officials also told party leader Fofi Gennimata they did not want to work with KIDISO.
