The Four Seasons of the Law

The Athens Open Air Film Festival continues in August with a screening of Greek comedy-drama “The Four Seasons of the Law” (1999), directed by Dimos Avdeliodis, on Monday, August 31, at the Akadimia Platonos archaeological park in central Athens. Set in a small village on the island of Chios in the 1960s, the film follows the attempts of four men who in turn try to take over the responsibilities of a field watchman who died on the job. This rare Greek cinematic gem won the FIPRESCI and State awards for direction and also took also part in the Berlin International Film Festival.
