French-Greek com­poser Alexan­dre De­s­plat will con­duct the 100-mem­ber Athens State Or­ches­tra at the Herod At­ti­cus Theater on Septem­ber 9. The Os­car­win­ning com­poser was born in Paris to a French fa­ther and a Greek mother. His sound­track work in­cludes mu­sic for Peter Web­ber’s “Girl with a Pearl Ear­ring,” Stephen Gaghan’s “Syr­i­ana,” Ben Af­fleck’s “Argo” and “The Im­i­ta­tion Game,” di­rected by Morten Tyl­dum. Tick­ets, which range from 10 (stu­dents and un­em­ployed) to 65 eu­ros, can be pur­chased at Public, Pa­pa­sotiriou, Seven Spots, Ianos, Reload Stores at Media Markt and online at Herod At­ti­cus Theater, Diony­s­iou Are­opag­i­tou, Acrop­o­lis
