Refugees continue risking all to reach Lesvos
A migrant tries to swim to a dinghy carrying refugees heading for Lesvos yesterday. At least two people died in the sea off the eastern Aegean island, while another 10 were reported missing. The police said that almost 187,000 migrants and refugees have arrived on the island this year, which is more than double its population. They added, however, that there has been no letup in arrivals despite the deterioration in the weather. Some 3,000 people are arriving each day.
