Tim Maia Tribute

The Embassy of Brazil is organizing a tribute to Brazilian singer-composer Tim Maia (1942-98) at the Gagarin 205 venue in Athens on Friday, October 9. The program will start at 8.30 p.m. with a screening of “Tim Maia,” a biopic directed by Mauro Lima (free entrance), with English subtitles. At 11 p.m., the Superbacana ensemble will perform works by Maia. Admission to the performance costs 10 euros for tickets purchased in advance and 12 euros at the door, and includes a caipirinha cocktail (served until 11.30 p.m.).
