Chore­og­ra­pher dies.

Chore­og­ra­pher and dance teacher Maria Kynigou-Flam­boura died on Wed­nes­day night. She was best known for her work with the famed late theater di­rec­tor Karo­los Koun. The pair were united in 1965 af­ter Koun founded the Theatro Tech­nis (Art Theater) and its drama school, where she taught for more than 30 years. Kynigou-Flam­boura was the chore­og­ra­pher for pro­duc­tions of an­cient Greek plays that were per­formed by Koun’s group around the world.
