Greek stocks painted a mixed picture yesterday, as National Bank’s gains were not enough to bring the benchmark into the green as it had done on Wednesday.

National added 8.30 percent, but other banks gave ground, with Piraeus falling 9.88 percent and Alpha dropping 6.96 percent.

In total 47 stocks advanced, 38 declined and 14 stayed put. Turnover reached 37.2 million euros, down from Wednesday’s 61.5 million.
