Tsipras and Kammenos don fatigues for Evros visit
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras (right) and Defense Minister Panos Kammenos are seen deep in discussion at the Parmeneion military exercises in Evros, northeastern Greece, yesterday. During their visit, Tsipras pledged that his government would seek to restore wages in the military to 2012 levels, as per a court ruling in 2013. ‘You know that it can’t all happen in the immediate future but I assure you it is among our priorities so it happens in the foreseeable future,’ he told members of the armed forces. Kammenos pledged to strengthen Greece’s military presence in Evros.
