The prime minister’s office yesterday denied knowledge of allegations that two serving ministers failed to declare assets in their derivation of wealth (“pothen esches”) forms.

One is alleged not to have included a bank deposit of some 1 million euros, and the other did not list his shares in a private company. Reports did not identify the ministers in question. Sources close to Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said they had no knowledge of who the allegations concern and noted that a parliamentary committee is tasked with checking all the wealth forms submitted by ministers and MPs.

“There must not be any distinction and all the facts must be made public,” said SYRIZA’s parliamentary spokesman Sokratis Famellos.
