A man suspected of robbing four Athens pharmacies at knifepoint was arrested yesterday. Police said the 33-yearold threatened staff at three pharmacies in the suburb of Glyfada, southern Athens, and one in Maroussi, northern Athens. After brandishing a knife at the employees, he forced them to hand over the cash from the register and then made off in a car, police said. The raids started in September, said officers, who are investigating whether the suspect was involved in other crimes. He was found in possession of a knife and a small amount of heroin.
