The Association of Commercial Television in Europe (ACT) said a controversial Greek bill overhauling licensing procedures for television broadcasters that MPs are due to vote on today is in violation of European regulations. “We are very concerned with the recent developments in Greece, a country where the broadcasting industry has been hit hard by recession,” the ACT said yesterday. “The legislative proposal of the government will have a further adverse impact on the industry, will create more insecurity and is fundamentally flawed in its approach on content licensing.”
