Alexiadis receives threat in mail
An envelope sent to Alternate Finance Minister Tryfon Alexiadis containing a single bullet also included a short letter calling him a “collector for the Wehrmacht” and threatening his family, the ministry said. The letter was stamped with a red star and the words “Red Faction.” The ministry said it gave the envelope and its contents to police. Last week a package sent to the president of Greece’s Court of Audit, Anna Ligomenou, who is also the head of a committee of experts that compiled a report with recommendations for the government on how to overhaul the Greek pension system, contained similar threats. It also contained a bullet and the letter was stamped with a red star.
