Aeschy­lus’ tril­ogy “Oresteia” goes on stage at the An­cient Theater of Ep­i­dau­rus on Fri­day, July 8, and Satur­day, July 9. Di­rected by Yian­nis Hou­var­das, the play ex­plores con­trast­ing themes such as re­venge and jus­tice, with a cast led by Con­stanti­nos Mark­oulakis and Kary­ofyl­lia Kara­beti. The pro­duc­tion is part of the Greek Fes­ti­val and fea­tures English sub­ti­tles. Shows start at 8 p.m. Ad­mis­sion ranges from 10 to 45 euros. Tick­ets for Greek Fes­ti­val events can be pur­chased on­line as well as at the fes­ti­val’s box of­fices at 39 Panepis­timiou St, in­side the ar­cade (open Mon­days to Fri­days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Satur­days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Herod At­ti­cus Theater on Diony­s­iou Aeropag­i­tou St (open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. daily).
