Deal to at­tract in­ter­na­tional film pro­duc­ers

The Hel­lenic Film Of­fice has struck an agree­ment with the Re­gional Au­thor­ity of Cen­tral Greece that aims to boost for­eign film pro­duc­tions in the coun­try. The HFO is a clus­ter of 15 com­pa­nies with ex­per­tise in au­dio­vi­sual pro­duc­tions that aims to make it eas­ier for in­ter­na­tional com­pa­nies to film on lo­ca­tion in Greece.

“The aim of our co­op­er­a­tion is to make the re­gion film-friendly with short- and long-term ben­e­fits, to tourism for ex­am­ple,” said HFO chief Pana­gi­o­tis Pa­pa­hatzis while Cen­tral Greece Re­gional Gov­er­nor Costas Bakoy­an­nis said the agree­ment will bring “jobs and fi­nan­cial ben­e­fits for ev­ery­one.”
