A group of some 150 anarchists taking part in the unauthorized, pro-refugee No Border Camp at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki vandalized buildings yesterday. The perpetrators targeted the local branch of Europe Direct, an EU information service, and the municipality’s administrative offices, damaging equipment and painting slogans on walls. According to sources, the vandals subsequently headed for Idomeni, a village near Greece’s border with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia which was the site of a makeshift camp for migrants earlier this year.
