Prosecution lawyers at the ongoing trial of members and supporters of neofascist Golden Dawn yesterday displayed photographs in court showing Giorgos Roupakias, the GD member accused of fatally stabbing a leftist rapper in 2013, at GD events in order to highlight the link between the suspect and the party. Prosecution lawyers also questioned Chrysoula Roupakia, the GD member’s sister, about her involvement in the party and asked her whether her brother had trained to use a knife as a weapon. Roupakia said her own involvement in the party was simply as a supporter – she voted for GD – but said she knew nothing about her brother undergoing weapons training.
